I found this article interesting in two ways; first, kids identifying as mythical creatures is called "imagination", and second, the creatures are Minotaurs and Mermaids.
First, let's look at the imagination part. If a child identifies as a mythical creature that does not exist, then this is just imagination. When this professor claims that a child identifying as a Minataur is the same as identifying as another gender, the entire "gender identity" movement is exposed for the sham that it is.
No child, before puberty, has any real concept of "male" and "female" and what those differences mean in life. All they see is what the other group has, or gets, that they find interesting. Typically, a 4-year-old boy may see girls getting nice pretty things and wants that too. He may feel that the girls get more attention and more compliments.
This is nothing more than "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence" syndrome, and the fact that societal revolutionaries want to hijack this natural tendency and use it to reshape society into their own warped version, thereby destroying these kids' lives, is unconscionable.
A child wanting his gender to be "a minotaur" is their imagination making them see this as a great thing to be; so it is with wanting to be some other gender. It is all imagination; you are what you were born to be. No amount of surgery and drugs will completely change your gender. Your body will fight to be the gender it was born with, and constant suppression of this is necessary to live this imaginary life.
Children who want to change genders need to be counseled on why they are perfect the way God created them. True "gender dysphoria" does exist, but is rare and requires psychological treatment to bring the person's mind and emotions in line with their physical gender - not the other way around as we are currently being told!
The second problem here is "minotaurs and mermaids". While minotaurs are a Greek fiction of a being that is a man's body with a bull's head and tail, the idea of the bull as a god goes back thousands of years before this. Egypt worshipped bulls in some areas. The Canaanites worshipped Moloch, which was also a man's body and a bull's head at least 5,000 years ago. It is believed by many scholars that Molock and Baal were the same god.
In Paradise Lost Milton posited that Moloch was a chief demon serving Satan. Others believe he is Satan himself. Moloch keeps appearing in our culture in songs, movies, etc. More information here.
The overview of Moloch is that he is a bull god to whom children are sacrificed by casting them into a fire to either burn or boil. I have written before about how this sacrifice continues today with the aborting of babies to have their bodies thrown into medical incinerators.
This belief that a child can be a minotaur gender is no more than a way that Satan trains up the next generation that it is okay to be a being that is a killer of babies.
Many people reading this will say this is a stretch; you need to look at our society as a whole, and all that is going on with children. Destroying the concept of male and female, child pornography, children sold into slavery, abortion, and all else that is happening to see the big picture.
And mermaids. Really? You justify children wanting to be minotaurs because they like nice little mermaids? Most modern writers maintain that in mythology the mermaids are kind and gentle, while only the sirens were dangerous. This is a modern misinterpretation of old stories. Mermaids (and mermen) brought misfortune and disasters. More on this here.
So, what we have here is children being encouraged to mimic an ancient, child-killing god, and to love disaster-causing sea creatures that have no soul.
While this is all just imagination, Satan is the one choosing what these children will imagine they can be.
When are Christians going to wake up to what is really going on?
